Our progress so far:
This garden began to develop two months ago and we started the process with compost. So while a three bin compost system is ‘cooking’ away we have turned our attention to creating the beds and wintering them over with green crops, i.e. lupius and mustard seeds, which will be dug in before Spring. This will enrich the soil with the addition of our compost; the beds will be ready for Spring planting.
Although winter is a slow season in the garden there are things we have been able to plant, like Broad beans, garlic, strawberries and some herbs which will survive the coldest months and come alive when the ground warms up in Spring. Anyone can work in the garden for as little or as long as they want and there is the opportunity to have some of the produce. Come and Join us!
